Vitamin C Serum and Lactic Acid 10% Gel Peel: From Our Mailbag

Vitamin C SerumVitamin C Serum use with other skin care products. We love hearing from our readers, and here is another question from a real customer concerned about using multiple skin care products at the same time.

Question: I guess the only question I have is whether the product is safe to use in concert with (not at the same time as necessarily but in the same time period) other exfoliating products like Vitamin C serum, Vitamin E serum and an anti-aging peel pad.

Answer: I think it of course depends on what the other products are. Vitamin C serum or Vitamin E serum should be fine, and in fact should work better since peels, like Lactic Acid 10% Gel Peel exfoliate and allow treatments like that to penetrate deeper to the dermis.

While the Lactic Acid 10% Gel Peel should be fine, with other peels, I can’t be sure, since it depends on how strong the other peel is and how sensitive your skin is.

There should be no problem using a Vitamin C serum, and should help your Vitamin C serum penetrate deeper. The Lactic Acid 10% Gel Peel is fairly gentle for a peel, but you may want to take a break from the other peel while you try this one, just in case it’s too much exfoliation.
